Multitalentosa Tânia Tomé é economista, cantora, compositora e poeta. Como Economista ganhou o prémio académico de Africa da Fundação Portugal – Africa (Presidida Por Mário Soares) em 2003. Como cantora ganhou o prémio internacional da Africa Austral da OMS (1988), Prémio de Música Festival da Cancão Fep- Portugal 2001, Prémio de Música Africa Sound Music Award 2010, Nomeada para Museke African Music Award (USA) 2011 e Mozambique Music Award 2012. Como Poeta ganhou o Prémio Nacional de Poesia do BIM 2005, Única Nomeada de Moçambique para Prémio Portugal Telecom do Brasil 2011 e seu livro é referência bibliográfica da pós-graduação em Letras da Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro.
